3408944 - Error "Label xxx already assigned" when trying to finish a production order.

Symptom

System shows error “Label xxx already assigned” (xxx means Label ID) when trying to finish a production order.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Execution Work Center.
  2. Go to Production Tasks view.
  3. Find Production Task ID XYZ (XYZ means production task ID).
  4. Go to Change Status and set to Finish.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. System shows error message “Label xxx already assigned" and production order cannot be closed.

Cause

Once a Label xxx is assigned for a task, the same Label cannot be used for another production order.

Resolution

It is necessary to use a unique Label ID to complete and finish the production order.
