3409539 - Frontend calculation formula changes after modifing the table in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

In the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) table, you add some frontend calculations using the formulas containing a range, for example, = SUM(B9:B11).

When changing the story filter, the formula values change according to the filter as it should. 

When changing the story filter back, it shows an ref_error for the cell.

When having a closer look, the sum formula changes one column further, for example, =SUM(C9:C11) and the value is calculated according to the new formula.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Enterprise

1. open the story
2. notice that values in the table are correct. Formula is =SUM(B9:B11)
3. change filter to a different member
4. notice there is "Ref_err" appears
5. change filter back to the original value
6. the formula changes to =SUM(C9:C11)

It is a limitation. 

Changing a table in a way that it grows or shrinks is not supported for custom cell formulas referencing the table with a range. Though in rare cases it may work. 

We consider it a feature enhancement.  Please follow KBA 2424376 to create an enhancement request. 

Meanwhile, please check if the following workaround can be applied for your case:

• use B9+B10+B11 instead of range
• If you go for a bigger range B2:B13 (outside the table) it will not get moved horizontally. However it still moves vertically. 
  If you go for a range starting above the table, it would stick, but the formula doesn't work as it includes the member string.
