3409647 - Can't bill SD documents of type &1 using billing type &2 - S/4HANA Cloud

User is unable to invoice sales document type &1 with billing type &2, and facing error message:

VF 002 "Can’t bill SD documents of type &1 using billing type &2"

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Open App: Create Billing Documents - VF01
2. Select: Billing Type (e.g. IG)
3. Billing Date = Today
4. Enter Document ID (e.g. with the type CBST (Intercompany Billing for STO)
5. Press Enter
6. Check Log and Error Message: (In this example: "Can’t bill SD documents of type CBST using billing type IG")

For sales document type &1 it is not allowed to create an invoice with billing type &2, because the corresponding copy control settings are not maintained.

The system is behaving as designed.

If a certain copying control setting is missing, it either means the process is not supported, or the scope item containing a pre-delivered copying control setting is not yet activated in your SAP S/4HANA System.
