3409660 - Error in report while using selection on field "Month (Logon Date)"

Symptom

You notice an error while using a selection in field "Month (Logon Date)" in the report based on User Logon Activity.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Search and Execute a report based on "User Logon Activity" data source.
  3. Use the value help selection in the field "Month (Logon Date)".
  4. The following error is shown on screen --> Technical error occured: An exception occurredInternal error in OLAP processor occured - restart your report!

Cause

When the value help for the field "Month (Logon Date)" is selected the system shows dates going back as far as 1910 which results in 6000+ entries and then results in the time out error.

Resolution

Use selection in the field "Between Logon Date" to run the report
