3410068 - Exclusion of SAP related file\folders from virus scanning

Symptom

One or more of the followings is recognized on SAP system:

  • Virus scan is utilizing high CPU.
  • Anti-virus online scanning activity causes OS processes to fail and to add additional load on I/O system.
  • Anti-virus software may impact processing times and behavior.
  • The scanning may cause access problems.
  • Anti-virus softwares may prevent an SAP service from starting up.
  • Anti-virus software causes RFC/network issues to SAP servers.
 Therefore SAP is asked to provide the SAP ME related list of files or folders that can be excluded from virus scanning.
