3410318 - Unable to search inactive employees with custom employee status - Employee Central

After terminating or inactivating users under specific employee statuses - e.g. Dormant, Early-Retired and some other custom ones -, users aren't searchable on People Search, even enabling the search for inactive users.

This is a configuration issue. The picklist "employee-status" is configured with more than one value with the same non-unique external code.

Adjust the employee-status picklist to avoid repeated non-unique external codes. If you need to use custom statuses, please make sure to add new external codes and non-unique external codes. For example: if you need to create custom statuses for Retirement, use new non-unique external codes, like R1 or R2.
