3410527 - Space deployment fails in SAP Datasphere after HDI container mapping

Symptom

Getting the error below or similar while deploying a HDI container:

  • The space <Space_name>  couldn’t be deployed. Execution of a database statement for artifact '#HDI_CONTAINERS_<Space_name>_xxx ' failed with error: user-defined error: "DWC_TENANT_OWNER"."UPDATE_HDI_CONTAINERS_SPACE": line 130 col 7 (at pos 5519): "<HDI Container ID>"."DWC_CONSUMPTION_ROLE", "<HDI Container ID>"."DWC_CONSUMPTION_ROLE#" Correlation ID: xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

or

  • The deployment of <Space_name> was unsuccessful. Environment

  • SAP Datasphere

Cause

DWC_CONSUMPTION_ROLE and DWC_CONSUMPTION_ROLE# security roles are not configured correctly.

Resolution

Define Datasphere's roles in HDI container as per the official documentation instructions.
