3410831 - Start E-mail for job created via Scheduled Job Manager is sent when the option "Send Emails When Job Starts" is not selected

Symptom

  • Jobs scheduled with the option "Send Emails When Job Starts" was not checked , but still received an e-mail informing the job started.
  • For Example, HRIS Sync job was scheduled  and the option "Send Emails When Job Starts" was not selected. An e-mail informing the job started was still sent.

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Scheduled Job Manager
  2. Access the Job Scheduled tab
  3. View the scheduled job details, though the select option "Send Emails When Job Starts:" is not checked 
  4. Once the job runs, you receive the notification informing the job has started

Cause

Code regression issue

Resolution

Engineering team is currently investigating the issue to prepare a software correction, which is targeted to be applied on 2H 2024 release.

The fix will be part of the 2H major release.

Once more details are available, this KBA will be updated accordingly.

Workaround:

Try to Edit the current job request by Enabling the check box option "Send Emails When Job Starts:" and then again disable the checkbox option ""Send Emails When Job Starts:"

Post that submit the job and run .
