3410916 - No validation for missing required job description on Job Profile page when no Job Role is selected for the Job Requisition - Recruiting Management

Job requisitions can be approved even if the job description is missing in the Job Profile tab.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Create a job requisition without selecting a job role.
2. Approve the job requisition.
3. Notice that no mandatory field validation appears despite that the job description on the Job Profile page is blank.

• None of the job description fields (Internal Job Description, External Job Description and Competency) are defined as required fields in the job requisition template.
• The approver does not have the write permission to edit the job description field that is defined as required.

1. Define the job description field that needs to be validated as required="true" in the job requisition template.
2. Grant the write permission to allow the approver to edit the job description field in pre-approved status.

Field ID's of the job description fields are listed below:

• "listingLayout" - Internal Job Description
• "extListingLayout" - External Job Description
• "competencies" - Competencies
