2. The difference between SSCUI 102607 and 102608.
There are 2 SSCUIs about valuation variant:
102607 Define Valuation Variants for Material Cost Estimates
102608 Define Valuation Variants per Plant
If you configure a valuation variant for a specific plant in the activity Define Valuation Variants per Plant, it always takes priority over the plant-independent valuation variant configured in Define Valuation Variants for Material Cost Estimates.
In the default content, a plant-independent and all plant-dependent entries are created automatically with the same valuation logic. You can edit entries in Define Valuation Variants per Plant to change the logic, for example the valuation sequence, for a specific plant.
You create a new valuation variant in Define Valuation Variants for Material Cost Estimates if you want the valuation logic to be the same across all plants.
An additional entry in Define Valuation Variants per Plant is only required when you have plants with specific requirements.
