Symptom

Error "Select an associated Data Source that is not enabled for Data Extraction." occurs, when creating a Custom CDS Views of scenario type "Data Extraction".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app "Custom CDS Views".
  2. Click "Create" and select "Data Extraction" as the scenario.
  3. Add a primary data source.
  4. Error "Select an associated Data Source that is not enabled for Data Extraction" displays. 

Cause

The message being displayed is as expected. 

Resolution

The CDS view being used as a primary datasource is already enabled for data extraction. 

You can check these capabilities by following:

  1. Open "View Browser" application.
  2. Search for the Standard CDS View.
  3. Click the "Annotations" tab.
  4. If it contains the value #EXTRACTION_DATA_SOURCE, it is enabled for Data Extraction.
