3411889 - Intercompany sales order and project are not created automatically although the purchase order is sent by XML

The Intercompany Sales Order and Intercompany Project has not created automatically from Purchase Order. However, you can see the intercompany relevant Purchase Order is Sent to Supplier, and you have maintained output channel as Electronic Data Exchange (EDX) in either supplier or account respective master data.

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
  2. Go to Purchase Orders View.
  3. Show All Purchase Orders and find relevant Order ID.
  4. Select and Edit the Purchase Order.
  5. Choose View All and navigate to the Document Flow tab, here you can see the intercompany sales order is not created via B2B communication.
  6. However you can see the purchase order is sent to supplier and sent by XML.

The purchase order is migrated into the system.

For migrated purchase orders, the actual output would have already happened before the migration stage itself and hence does not get generated upon migration into ByDesign system.

Hence, it will always be created in Sent status in the system and cannot be created first in open/in preparation status, then order it to trigger the intercompany sales order/project creation.

Intercompany sales order/project cannot be created automatically from migrated purchase order.

This could be taken up as a new requirement and hence we suggest you to post on Customer Influence Site [New Idea Place] -
