In the Latest Applicant Workbench, if the standard field "id" is configured on the application template (to display the application ID), it will not be visible regardless of permissions. Furthermore, switching from the legacy workbench to the Latest Applicant workbench and back again will cause the field to no longer be visible on the legacy one either.
