3412546 - Service agent not found when creating a Purchase Request from a Project.

Symptom

When you  try to create a Purchase Request from a project with a particular Service Agent, below error message is thrown.
Employee XXX does not exist

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Project Management - Projects.
  2. Select the Project PNGF01 and click Edit.
  3. Go to the Products tab.
  4. In the Product Overview tab, click Create Purchase Request > For Service/Supplier.
  5. Click the value help for the Service Agent field, Michael is not available.

Cause

The cause of the issue is that there is no entry at all or  no  supplier assigned to the Service Agent XYZ in Supplier base / Business Partner Data work center. 

Resolution

  1. Go to Supplier Base work center
  2. Go to  Service Agents view
  3. Click on add row
  4. Add first name, last name and  Supplier in general tab
  5. Under Relation ships tab ,
  6. Choose Relation type "is service performer for"
  7. Choose business Partner as" company  of the service agent"
