3412641 - Employee ID is shown as blank when global assignment record added to the user - CS2H2023

When global assignment record is added to the user, Employee Id field is shown blank value. The same issue is observed for Rehire scenario as well.

1. In Admin Tools -> Company System and Logo Settings, the switch "Enable Centralized Services for Global Assignment (Applicable for Add, Edit, End and Obsolete actions from UI)" is enabled.
2. HRIS sync mapping is set up between person-id-external field in personInfo [Biographical Information] and with the empId [Employee ID] Standard field in Employee Profile.
3. From employee's profile, Take Action -> Add global assignment -> Save.
4. Global Assignment record is created for the user.
5. Download UDF and check Employee ID is blank or if Live user profile information is configured, we can see Employee ID field is blank with hyphen (-) in the global assignment record.

• This issue was fixed via a patch on 2311p5 (20-Nov-23 Preview and 23-Nov-23 Production). But please note the additional information in regards of the fix to this issue:

• From this release on there is a change for this to be handled moving from synchronous to asynchronous approach. This is due to that before release in some scenarios the instant sync would not work.
• The update to employee ID is not instantly and relies on HRIS sync job to run. An automatic HRIS sync job will run within max of 10 minutes from adding Global assignment
• Please note that this does not necessarily mean that the update necessarily happens within 10 minutes, but that the hris sync job gets triggered within 10 minutes plus the time it takes to run the HRIS sync job

• It is currently also still possible to use the following workarounds:  Admin Tools -> Company System and Logo Settings, disable the switch "Enable Centralized Services for Global Assignment (Applicable for Add, Edit, End and Obsolete actions from UI)" OR Run a Full HRIS Sync Job.
