3412731 - Centralized Services - Custom MDF object parent to child association error received when saving rehire in rehire inactive employee tool - CS2H2023

Centralized Services for rehire inactive employees is causing an association error when a custom MDF object is associated to a standard parent object.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Make sure "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" in Company System and Logo Settings is enabled.
2. Create a custom MDF object that has a parent to child association configuration with a standard field.
3. Go into the rehire inactive employee tool and select a rehire.
4. Fill in all required field and sections (Please take note on what entering correct values for the parent and child field that was configured in step 2 above.
5. Now click submit/save to finish the rehire and observe the association error.

Example error:

custom child object field “XXX” is not associated with standard parent field “YYY”. Check the custom child object field data object configuration and enter a valid standard parent field.

Please note that in the above example error the wording "custom child object field" and "standard parent field" would be the actual names of the fields.
