3412884 - Composite association "RightToReturn" from Position MDF object has been deleted at 2H 2023

In 2H 2023, Engineering team deleted the composite association "RightToReturn" from Position MDF object. This change caused some customers who configure "RightToReturn" as Position target criteria in RBP role get application error when opening position org chart or position report as below:

"Applicaiton error，errorId=xxxx, please contact system administrator…… "

To resolve these application error issues, Engineering team fixed theissue by patch, and it will result the forbid access to positions when position target criteria is invalid for some customers, thus, the proper target criteria should be added again in the affected RBP roles.

Customer need to correct target criteria setting in permission role and access will be granted again. Please follow below steps to correct target criteria of Position Object:

1. Go to Manage Permission Roles, find the corresponding permission role

2. At "3. Grant this role to..", Choose the affected permission group granted this permission role, click "edit granting" in the right side of this permission group

3. Navigate to Position MDF object Target population Specify sections > Choose ‘Include access to Position in the hierarchy below the Granted User’s Position’

4. Select "parentPosition/High level position" as hierarchy name and save the permission role again.

The screenshot below is the example, it displays the label of parentPosition (Higher-Level Position), if customer does not add any label before, it will display "parentPosition":
