3413897 - Extension Fields in SAC Story

Symptom

You have added Extension Fields in the C4C V2 system and then trying to add those fields in the SAC Story.
In the result you could see that only IDs are visible

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2
SAP Analytics Cloud, Embedded Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Pre Requisite: There are certain extension fields added in the system. For Example: Service

Login to C4C V2 Tenant by SSO
Navigate to Analytical Stories via Settings
Click on New
Create a story based on same data source in which extension fields are added
You notice that these fields do not show label rather then that it displays ID.

Cause

The translation for the extension fields needs to be maintained under Extensibility >Language Adaptation, even for the language in which the extension field was created.

Resolution

Once the translations are maintained for all the extension fields, please make a dummy change to any one of the extension fields, so that the model gets updated with the texts.

This is a workaround until we deploy the translations in the system in upcoming releases. Once this is consumed, the text will automatically be displayed.
