3413932 - Add Global Assignment not triggering email notification to Target HR Manager


When adding Global assignment, workflow is not resolving for Target HR Manager/Custom Manager/Matrix manager if centralized services for Global assignment is enabled.

  • Rule to trigger the workflow while adding Global Assignment.
  • Workflow configuration should have step with approver type/cc role with Target HR Manager/Custom Manager/Matrix manager.

Steps to follow:

  1. Go to Employee profile
  2. Take action -> Add global assignment -> save -> workflow triggers.
  3. Notice that Target HR Manager/Custom Manager/Matrix manager defined in the workflow configuration is not resolved correctly/missing.


Our Engineering team has fixed the issue in b2405 release.


In the meantime, to temporarily unblock business activities you can temporarily disable "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" from Company System and Logo Settings. Please note this is a temporary workaround and should not be used as a permanent solution. Please ensure you re-enable the Centralized Services switches after the issue is fixed so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of Centralized Services. 

Please Note:

  • For Centralized Services related issues, disabling the Centralized Services switch for the component/transaction in Company System and Logo Settings is a temporary solution. You can disable the related switch as a work-around and you should enable the switch back once SAP have confirmed the issue is fixed.
