3414188 - Quote actions do not consider required fields by workflow settings

Symptom

A custom field marked as "mandatory" must be filled in to designate the quote status as lost. Nevertheless, it has been observed that setting the quote status to Quote Lost is possible even when the custom fields are left empty.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a custom field sourced from an attribute

  2. Go to Required Fields by Workflow action and select the custom field to the Quote Lost action

  3. Create a quote and leave the custom field with no values

  4. Go to quote list then select "Quote Lost" action on the three dots

  5. See that the status is changed to "Lost" even though the custom field must have a value in order to set the quote as lost.

Cause

There's a bug in the application where this action doesn't consider the required fields.

Resolution

Bug will be fixed in future release.
