• Cannot reset the UI Adaptation in S/4HANA Cloud PRD system
• When trying to reset the application to its original state in UI adaptation, the error message "Sorry, your UI changes cannot be discarded at this time. Please try again later, or contact your administrator" is shown.
• When saving changes in UI adaptation, the following error message is shown: "Sorry, the change cannot be applied to the UI. Please reset the UI to the original state and recreate the changes. Caution: This will reset all changes made to this app by any user. Alternatively, you can contact SAP support by opening a ticket for the component CA-UI5-FL-RTA.".
• If the UIs looks different between your Q and P systems after an upgrade or a transport of changes.

S/4HANA Cloud

1. Access the PRD system
2. Open the UI Adaptation Mode
3. Press the "Reset" button, there is an error: Sorry, your UI changes cannot be discarded at this time. Please try again later, or contact your administrator: Adaptation transport object notification not permitted; return code 008

This issue is caused by making changes in more than one system. It is recommend to create all changes in the quality system, and to move them to the productive system via the transport mechanism (ATO on S/4 HANA Cloud).

In this specific case, changes were made in the quality system and transported to the production system. However, changes were also directly created in the PRD system, leading to the issue.

To mitigate this situation, the changes that were created directly in the productive system have to be removed. Please provide your permission for us to remove a list of changes that are created in the PRD system.

After removing the changes from the PRD system, recreate the changes in the QAS system then transport to the PRD system.
