3414839 - The Employee Central profile is updated before the onboarding is complete for a rehire candidate [Onboarding]

In case of rehire via onboarding, upon successful initiation, the candidates EC Profile is updated automatically.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

As per the standard product design, once the rehire is accepted, the Employee Central profile will be updated even if the onboarding process is not completed.
In case of Rehire with Old Employment: a new record is added to the existing HRIS Elements within the Employee Profile
In case of Rehire with New Employment: a new employment record is added to within the Employee Profile.
This is expected system behaviour.
If you would like to change or improve this system behavior, we would suggest you submit an Enhancement Request to the product management team which will be reviewed and voted on and could be included in the next release of the product.
