3415127 - How to enable the Excel add-in tab in the Microsoft Excel Ribbon,

Symptom

 The Excel add-in tab in the Microsoft Excel Ribbon disappeared and you wish to enable it again.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Cause

Sometimes the add-in tab disappears from the Microsoft excel ribbon, because of the  abnormal shut down of the Microsoft excel instances.

Resolution

User can enable the tab by following the below steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.
  2. Go to the 'File' tab.
  3. Go to the 'Options' tab.
  4. Click on the 'Add-ins' option.
  5. Under the Manage dropdown, select 'COM Add-ins'.
  6. Click Go.
  7. Select the check box option for 'SAP Add-In for Microsoft Excel'.
  8. Click OK.
