3415246 - Infected with 11 at conn_hdlr_reg_cleanup - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • An ASE server started receiving the following errors:
    Current process (0x180b012c) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address: conn_hdlr_reg_cleanup
  • Stack includes:
    SQL Text: [no text]
    icp_crecvmsg
    psort_consumer
    child_driver
    kw_exec

  • The server did not go down, however, a normal shutdown was done:  "Shutdown started by user 'dba'. SQL text: shutdown" with no issues.
  • The server was rebooted without further errors.
