• Data for Totals are displaying incorrectly for lower hierarchy levels in the story in SAC.
• Totals are calculating only the higher hierarchy level and not the lower level.
• Reproducible both in Classic and Optimized Design Experience (ODE) story mode.
• Reproducible both with table and chart.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

1. Login to SAC.
2. Create a story and insert a table or chart.
3. In the Builder panel, select as a dimension a hierarchy dimension and a measure.
4. In the widget drill down e.g. to the lowest hierarchy level.
5. Select Show Totals for the hierarchy dimension in the Builder panel.
6. Compare the values for the totals and the selected hierarchy level e.g. to the lowest hierarchy level => values will be different. Totals are calculating the upper hierarchy level and not the selected lower level.

• By design behavior.
• The total value displayed for the highest hierarchy level is the SUM of the lower hierarchy levels.
• Hence when the show totals will be enabled, the same value gets displayed, this is working as expected.
