3415455 - saphostctrl -function ListDatabases version 722 patch 1300 shows IQ 16.1 status as Stopped - SAP IQ

Symptom

SAP IQ servers are up and running, however

  • host agent shows them as status STOPPED
  • Solution manager shows: Database Unavailable


KBA 2970381 - saphostctrl -function ListDatabases shows IQ 16.1 database status as "Stopped" - SAP IQ 
advises to apply: 
/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/./saphostexec version 722, patch 1113 or higher

But the same issue is seen with a higher version 722, patch 1300

/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec -version
