3415671 - Enhancement Request: Pair First Clock In with Last Clock Out

There is a requirement for customers using the SuccessFactors Time Tracking Clock In/Clock Out solution to pair the first Clock In event with the last Clock Out event.

1. An employee records the following Clock In and Clock Out time events within a single day:
   
   • 09:01AM - Clock In
   • 09:04AM - Clock In
   • 10:14AM - Clock Out
   • 03:22PM - Clock In
   • 06:02PM - Clock Out
2. The system pairs each Clock In with the next available Clock In/Out, resulting in multiple timesheet entries.
3. The requirement is to pair only the first Clock In (09:01 AM) with the last Clock Out (06:02 PM), generating a single timesheet entry.

The SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking – Clock In / Clock Out solution does not currently support pairing the first Clock In with the last Clock Out.

Workaround:

Please consider handling multiple Clock In / Clock Out events on the Terminal Vendor or Implementation Partner side, so that only the relevant time events are sent to SuccessFactors for pairing.

 

2. Once the above configuration is completed, the system consolidates multiple Clock In / Clock Out records into a single continuous time span (for example, 09:01 AM – 06:02 PM) and stores the calculated result in the relevant Time Type Group.

Future Improvement:

An enhancement request has already been submitted and acknowledged by Product Management: Is it possible to pair the first Clock In and last clock Last Clock Out?
