3415734 - Navigation Bar in Homepage not Working (Drop-down, Profile, Search Bar)

Upon logging in to instance and opening the home page, the following scenarios are noticeable on the navigation bar (note that they works fine when other page is opened such as on the Org Chart): 

• The drop down menu is not working when clicking on it to show the navigation menu
• Search bar not returning results
• Profile button not extending its options when clicked 

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core 

1. Login to instance. 
2. Homepage is displayed. Click the drop down menu for navigation and it wouldn't show the menu. 
3. On the homepage, try to select another tile to open (ex. Org Chart)
4. Click the drop down menu and it'll show the options
5. Same would occur when other elements from the header are clicked such as search bar or profile button. It wouldn't work when opened on the homepage but works fine when clicked on the other page. 

This is caused by the Security Questions Dialog failing to open due to some backend bug. 

This is currently a known issue that our Engineering team have already prepared a patch for. The engineering team released a patch mitigation on December 28, 2023. A code fix was created to make code fix, which will be released in B2405 on 19-Apr-2024 for Preview and on 17-May-2024 for Production.

For the workaround, kindly see below:

1. Go to Password & Login Policy Settings (as you are not able to search anything for now, please go to another module first before searching for the tool)
2. On the Reset passwords using security questions accessed through the system,  go to Manage Security Questions. 
3. Try enabling a question on that page? If it continues to persists after setting up a security question, try setting the language to English - US. 
4. If step 3 is already met and the same persists, go to the Manage Security Questions page again and select EN_US for the language of the questions.
