3416397 - Error "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component PP-MRP." occurs.

Symptom

Below error occurs when running MRP via app 'Schedule MRP runs' or creating planning file entry in app 'Create Planning File Entries '.
"An error occurred. Please create an incident on component PP-MRP".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

Cause 1: In the parameter of the job, the length of the specified material number is longer than 18 digits.
E.g. there is asterisk added.

For numeric material number, the length should not be longer than 18.

Cause 2: The user using the app doesn't have enough authorizations.

Resolution

1.Make sure that the length of the numeric material number is less than 18 digits.

2. Make sure all the necessary business catalogs are assigned to the user and no restriction is set.
