3416418 - Customer Return is not Created as a follow up from the Inbound Delivery Document

You notice that the Customer Return document was not created as a follow up from the Inbound Delivery Notification document.

In addtion, the error "Referenced customer return not found (Inbound delivery EDF)" is being displayed when filtering for the Inbound Delivery EDF in the Source Documents View.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Go to the Inbound Deliveries View.
3. Filter for All Inbound Deliveries by Selection.
4. In the search field, search for the Inbound Delivery EDF (Where EDF represents the Inbound Delivery ID).
5. Open, Select View All.
6. Navigate to the Document Flow tab.

The Inbound Delivery is released, however no Customer Return document was created.

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the Source Documents View.
3. Filter for All Source Documents.
4. In the search field, search for the Inbound Delivery EDF.

The error message "Referenced customer return not found (Inbound Delivery EDF)" is displayed in the UI.

The Customer Return is not created as a follow up from the Inbound Delivery document because the configuration for automatic determination of Party Roles for the Return document is not being properly maintained in the system.

Therefore, as the system cannot automatically identify the Party Roles to create the Customer Return document the error "Referenced customer return not found" is displayed in the Source Documents View for the Inbound Delivery document.

You need to ensure that the set up to automatically determine Parties Roles for the Return documents is properly maintained in the system.
