3416489 - Product visibility is not working

Symptom

This kba works as a supplement to the help documentation on Setting Product Visibility.

After setting up the recommended steps for visibility restrictions, the expected behavior is that only users belonging to the specified group can access products associated with the specified category.
However, the actual behavior is that users who do not belong to the designated user group for a category are able to perform a product search using the search bar in the storefront. Even though they should not have access to the category, these users are still able to search for and find specific products within the restricted category.
