Symptom

  • Receive below error when Promoting live CMS to live CMS from SAP BI Platform 4.2 to SAP BI Platform 4.3 using Promotion Management Wizard (PMW):

    “Scenario failed: Promote (Live CMS to Live CMS) !

    Version validation between central, source and target failed! ”

  • When checking Promotion Management Wizard traces, below entries are found:

    “com.businessobjects.sdk.lcm.LCMSDKException: Version validation between central, source and target failed! [lcm.sdk.version.mismatch]

    at com.businessobjects.sdk.lcm.Scenario.checkVersions(Scenario.java:200)”
