3416958 - Quick Cut and Paste does not work as expected in SAP GUI 8.00

Symptom

When highlight a text in an input field using left mouse click with "Quick Cut and Paste" setting activated in SAP GUI, the first character of other field is also selected.

See two possible scenarios below:

If paste in a text file, it will look like this:
