3416981 - Wrong record is returned for Dependents Model.Personal Information Model during rehire - CS2H2023

Symptom

Wrong record is returned for Dependents Model.Personal Information Model during rehire when centralized services switch "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" under Company System and Logo Settings is ON.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - New Hire/Rehire
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Dependents information

Reproducing the Issue

Replication steps:

  1. "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" in Company System and Logo Settings is ON.
  2. Under BCUI -> personRelationshipInfo, configure an onSave rule to check "Dependents Model.Relationship.Value", and "Dependents Model.Personal Information Model.Gender.Value"
  3. Find a terminated user who has 2 dependents. For example, One is mother whose gender is female, while another is father whose gender is male.
  4. Rehire inactive user and rehire the user.
  5. During submit, we can see in the rule trace that, Dependents Model.Personal Information Model unexpected returns personal info from another dependent. Example: relationship is mother but gender in personal info is male.

Resolution

Our Engineering team is currently investigating the issue. This KBA will be updated once there are further updates.

PS: The issue seems to only happen when CS switch is on and during rehire. Can't replicate the issue for new hire or rehire with new employment.

Workaround:

In the meantime, to temporarily unblock business activities you can temporarily disable "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" from Company System and Logo Settings. Please note this is a temporary workaround and should not be used as a permanent solution. Please ensure you re-enable the Centralized Services switches after the issue is fixed so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of Centralized Services.

Please Note:

  • For Centralized Services related issues, disabling the Centralized Services switch for the component/transaction in Company System and Logo Settings is a temporary solution. You can disable the related switch as a work-around and you should enable the switch back once SAP have confirmed the issue is fixed.
