3417028 - A special character "[]" is displaying in the form routing validation alert

The form routing validation message for key "PERFORMANCE_REVIEW_ERR_REQUIRED_FIELD_NOT_IN_RANGE" is displaying a special character "[]" when the section or item name begins with a number.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Reproducing the Issue

1. The section or item begins with a number. For example, the names of goal items are '1.Test goal', '2.Test form'.

2. The section or items have a required field setting. For example, the goal item rating is set as a required field for the goal section.

3. When routing the form to next step, a validation alert is displayed. However, there is an unexpected display of a special character "[]" in this alert, and the number is missing.

4. The expected display should be:

⇥1.Test goal: Rating
⇥2.Test form: Rating

This is a known issue.

This is tentatively scheduled to be fixed in the 2405 release. Release dates can be reviewed on Product Release & Road Map Information.
