3417186 - Default Communication System in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 / SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Symptom

Default Communication System is delivered in all SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 / SAP Service Cloud Version 2 tenants

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 Integration with SAP ERP / SAP S4HANA
SAP Service Cloud Version 2 Integration with SAP ERP / SAP S4HANA

Resolution

  1. When you are configuring integration between SAP Sales & Service Cloud V2 and SAP ERP or SAP S4HANA , you find under list of Communication Systems - there is a default communication system with ID "sap_cloud_crm_my1234567".

  2. Please create new communication system for the ERP or S4HANA or any third party systems - donot use or edit this communication system as a mandatory activity mentioned in product documentation. 

  3. If you click on Create User in the Edit Mode such user will have only limited access to few services and cannot be used as communication user for consumption of any APIs offered by the product.
