3417204 - SAP ERP Connection is not available as a source for a New Model type in SAC.

Symptom

  • Cannot select ERP as a source for a new type model.
  • ERP connections are only available for Classic SAC models.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC
  2. From the Modeler create New type model
  3. Try to import data into the new model:
    >>ERP connection's type is not appearing from the list of connections

Cause

  • This is a by-design behavior.
  • ERP connections are not a DA source, so it would not support New Model. 

Resolution
