Where to Find Logical System ID / System ID of SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 / SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

You are configuring the Integration between S4HANA / ERP with Sales/Service Cloud Version 2 and you need to create the Business System(SOAP Services) & Logical System(for IDOC based replication)

Resolution

  • Unlike Cloud for Customer V1 which has 6 digit unique id in communication system, Version 2 doesnt provide any such ID. Instead we suggest you to use the default communication system id

  • For Example , if your Default Communication System ID in V2 is "sap_cloud_crm_my1234567" then use "sap_cloud_crm_my1234567" as the Business System ID and "1234567"(or like C4C V2) as Logical System ID (Path to find default communication system in v2 : Navigate to Settings >> Integration >> Communication Systems >> Entry with description "default communication system')

  • The IDOC based replication from S4 , for example -In case of employee replication the IDOC sent by S4 system contains 123456 as RCVPRN(mapped to receiverCommunicationSystemDisplayId of v2 structure) which is basically the logical system id created by you.

    In this case, you need to explicitly maintain value mapping between the ID(1234567) that is sent from S4 to the actual expected (sap_cloud_crm_my1234567)  receiverCommunicationSystemDisplayId  expected by v2. The messages will fail in CPI if the value mapping is not maintained.
