3417257 - Planned Quantity in Reporting Point of a Production Task Has Many Decimals.

Symptom

A production order has an integer as planned quantity, but in the reporting point of following production task, planned quantity has many decimals.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to work center Production Control.
  2. Access view Task Control.
  3. Search ABC (ABC represents production task ID), click Confirm
  4. Under tab Confirmation, in the section "Reporting Points Details", Planned Quantity has many decimals, for example, 1,030.9279 ea.
  5. However, in its production order, under tab General, Planned Quantity is 1,000 ea.

Cause

In the production order, under tab General, Scrap Factor is 3%. Planned Quantity = 1,000/(1-3%) ea.

Since in Business Configuration activity "Quantities and Units of Measure", the UoM of ea has 4 display decimals, hence it rounds up and shows 1,030.9279 ea.

Resolution

This is system standard behavior.
