3417988 - How to translate "name" field in Manage Business Configuration column

Once changing the system language, the "Name" column is kept in English.

The Name in Manage Pending Hire screen is not translatable.

Column names are pulled from the Label of the Employee Central field. The default column fields you see are:

• Name
• Hire Date
• Job Title
• Location
• Pay Grade
• Department

You modify a column name by changing the label of the field in the Manage Business Configuration tool.

However, once we access Manage Business Configuration, there is no "Name" field. The options we have in Manage Business Configuration are first-name, last-name and others.

Having that said, the translation for Name field cannot be added, and this field also cannot be edited or deleted in Configure Columns for the Manage Pending Hires screen.

A workaround is to add another name option in Configure Columns for the Manage Pending Hires -> Personal Information -> Select a field.

There you can select another name field, one that appears in Manage Business Configuration, and the translation will be applied once the instance language is changed.
