3418187 - Prerequisites of Scope Item 5MQ - Sell from Stock with Valuated Stock in Transit Process in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When using Sell from Stock with Valuated Stock in Transit (5MQ), after posting the goods issue, stock does not move to Valuated Stock in Transit.
The material document shows movement type 601 instead of the expected movement type 687.

The 5MQ scope item is not fully activated, or one or more prerequisite configurations are missing.

To successfully trigger movement type 687 and post to Valuated Stock in Transit, perform the following checks and configuration steps:

1. Ensure Scope Item 5MQ is Activated

• Open a case under component XX-S4C-OPR-SRV to request activation of scope item 5MQ.
• Activation enables all required backend configurations for the Sell from Stock with VSiT process.

2. Activate Sell from Stock with Valuated Stock in Transit through SAP Expert Configuration procedure till a SSCUI is developed.

• Create an Incident/Service Request under component XX-S4C-OPR-SRV with Subject: ‘Request Expert Configuration for scope item 5MQ-Setting Up Sell from Stock with Valuated Stock in Transit’.
• Attach this table where you’ve filled column Enabled with X for all the order type and item category combinations you need from the list:

3. Check SSCUI 105504 – “Set Relevance for Sell from Stock with VSiT Process”

• Ensure that your relevant Sales Organization, Plant, Item Category, and Incoterms (Part 1) are maintained and marked as “Relevant for SFS VSiT Process”.

4. Confirm Incoterms in the Sales Order

Even when configuration is correct, the system will only propose movement type 687 if the sales order matches the relevance conditions:

• Maintain the correct Incoterms at header level.
• Also maintain Incoterms Location 1 (for example, plant or city).
• Save the order and recheck the Schedule Lines → Procurement tab.
  • If set correctly, movement type 687 should appear.
  • If incorrect or missing, movement type 601 will be used instead.
