3418445 - Sales Order Cancellation Status Not Updated to "Partially Cancelled" as Expected.


In a Sales Order scenario involving Sales Kits, after cancelling one or more line items, you expect the Cancellation Status to change to "Partially Cancelled", however, the status changed to "Cancelled".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center. 
  2. Open the Sales Orders view.
  3. Find and open Sales Order ABC (Where ABC Represents the Sales Order ID).
  4. Click the View All button.
  5. Navigate to the Items tab.

You see that one or more of the cancelled line items have not been fully delivered or invoiced, however, the cancellation status is "Cancelled" and not "Partially Cancelled".


This happens when one or more of the cancelled line items of the Sales Order is a Sales Kit line item. Even though one or more of the Child items of the Sales Kit have not been fully delivered or invoiced, once the Sales Kit Header is cancelled, the system considers all the respective Sales Kit Child Items as fully cancelled.


This is the expected system behavior.
