3418456 - How to Check Which User is Able to Perform Password Reset

Symptom

A password reset is required; however, it is not known which users in the system have the authorization to perform password reset activities.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Cause

To identify the business users in the system who have the required authorization to reset passwords for other users.

Resolution

  1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center.
  2. Go to Business User View.
  3. Select the Advanced Filter.
  4. In the field, Work Center View ID insert IAM_BUSINESSUSERS.
  5. Select Go.

All the users displayed have the permission to reset the password of others business users in the system.
