3418563 - "Please assign a time type that is defined for Leave of Absence" error while assigning "Leave Of Absence" Time Type to a Time Profile

1. Go to Manage Data

2. Input Time Profile object

3. Find the desired time profile

4. Take Action and Make Correction then assign Time Type (LOA) to Time Profile

5. Error pops up as "Please assign a Time Type that is defined for Leave of Absence"

6. Check Time Type and confirm you have defined proper Leave of Absence Event Reason (Plan) and Leave of Absence Event Reason (Return To Work) for LOA Time Type.

There's a validation in place to ensure that the Effective Start Date of the Event Reason in the Time Type matches the Effective Start Date of the Time Profile when edited.

If there is the mismatch, the system doesn't permit these Time Types to be added to the Time Profile.

Proposed Solution:

There are multiple ways to address this issue, some are detailed below:
1. Instead of modifying Time Profile, consider adding a new slice with an effective start date on or after the Effective Start Date of the event reason in Time Type. Then, include the necessary Time Types.
2. Adjust the Effective Start Date in the Event Reason of Time Type to align with the Effective Start Date of the Time Profile.
