FAQ: Using Authorization Groups in Product Allocation for advanced ATP (aATP)
- This KBA provides a collection of questions and answers, along with known concerns and resolutions, regarding the usage of authorization groups in Product Allocation.
It is updated regularly to include new questions that may be relevant and interesting to all customers.
Overview of included topics:
- Authorization groups for specific characteristic value combinations have been defined to limit user authorizations to certain CVCs, and at least one of these groups was assigned to the user ID's authorization. However, this definition does not work as expected, as users still have unrestricted authorization for all other CVCs.
- Authorization groups have been removed from the Authorization Definition within the "Manage Characteristic Catalogs" Fiori App. However, transaction /nPFCG for the role assigned to your user for object: M_PAO_CVC/CVCAUTHGRP still shows this old, already removed assignment.
- Despite the defined limitation of the authorization definition, where the user does not have permission to "Delete" CVC Data in the app "Manage Product Allocation Data," deletion appears possible upon pressing the "Delete Button."
- An authorization group was defined to grant the user authorization to maintain CVC values in the app "Manage Product Allocation Object Planning Data." However, the attempt to maintain the CVC fails with an error message popup: "No authorization for CVC xxx/xxx/xxx, object 'relevant Product Allocation Object' due to authorization group 'name of default authorization group'."
