3419458 - Backend dump occurs when using special character in Workflow rule

Backend dump “The ASSERT condition was violated” occurs when saving a workflow rule.

SAP Cloud for Customer

• Login to C4C.
• Navigate to Administrator ->Workflow Rules.
• Enter Basic Data on first screen and click on Next.
• Click on Add group in Define Condition screen and provide information in fields and give any value in field for comparison with apostrophe (eg. SAP’Test) as shown in screenshot.
• You get a backend dump “The ASSERT condition was violated.” when saving the workflow rule.

This is a known limitation.

Remove apostrophe or any special character in rule condition which should resolve the issue.
