3419461 - Approver receiving Standard template instead of Custom notification template for Workflow approval

A Custom Email configuration is assigned to a workflow with multiple steps. When the first approver "A" approves the workflow and second approver "B" receives the standard pending approval notification instead of custom template though locale of the template is found.

• Lack of permission.
• When sending custom mail, system will check whether relevant permission for custom template is provided. If not, it will fallback to standard mail template if Document Generation Template is secured in 'Configure Object Definition' i.e. System will check the previous approver's permission, not the receiver's permission.

• Please set the field: Secured as "NO" under Security section of Document generation template object under configure object definition.

• Please provide custom template permission to the approver/s.

Possible Scenarios:

Scenario 1: If workflow involves 1 step approval then for 1st step pending approval mail, it will check initiator's permission.

Scenario 2: If workflow involves 2 steps approval then for 2nd step pending approval mail, it will check 1st approver’s permission.

Scenario 3: For cc role to receive custom template, system will check final approver’s permission.
