Symptom

Dump in the UI Designer when selecting BO Model in Data Modelling:

Dump details can be confirmed by SAP product support and may include the error:  Not possible to create the data container.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business By Design

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Ui Designer for Your Pdi solution
  2. Search and open Custom EC
  3. Goto DataModel tab
  4. Right side:Select Namespace: Solution namespace and Select BO Model as BO eg SAP_UtilitiesActionBO or SAP_Activity. 
  5. Dump is raised

Cause

The dummy BO (SAP_ACTIVITY) will raise an error.

Resolution

 To select the standard BO, the developer needs to change namespace to http://sap.com/xi/AP/PC/ActivityManagement/Global. From here, the standard Activity BO can be selected.
