• Client applications received frequent disconnect and timed out during large number of incoming connections at the same time.
• There is no errors in ASE errorlog.
• The following errors received by the clients:
  
  • DB-Library error: Server connection timed out.
    DB-Library error: Unable to connect: Server is unavailable or does not exist.

  • Perl client received:  dbi:Sybase:server=ASE;hostname=host;encryptPassword=1;timeout=10800;packetSize=4096 User: app_user OpenClient message: LAYER = (1) ORIGIN = (2) SEVERITY = (2) NUMBER = (63)
    Server ASE, database Message String: ct_connect(): user api layer: internal Client Library error: Read from the server has timed out.
