• Position Management 

UserA is in position1, position1's matrix relationship, for example, second manager is position2, userB is in position2.

1. Position Types disabled 

Position management setting < Synchronize Position Matrix Relationships to Job Relationships of Incumbents < never

Result1: In position1, change second manager (matrix relationship) from position2 to position3, the job relationship sync is not happened to userA.

Result2: Transfer userB from position2 to another position, the job relationship sync is not happened to userA.

2. Position Types enabled, manage data < position type < SP/RP < Synchronize position matrix relationships to job relationships of incumbents < any selection, this will not impact the result

Position management setting < Synchronize Position Matrix Relationships to Job Relationships of Incumbents < always

Result: In position1, change second manager (matrix relationship) from position2 to position3, the job relationship sync is happened to userA

3. Position management setting < Synchronize Position Matrix Relationships to Job Relationships of Incumbents < any selection

Scenario1: Position Types enabled, manage data < position type  (This position type is position2's )< SP/RP < Synchronize position matrix relationships to job relationships of incumbents < always

Result: Transfer user B from position2 to another position, the job relationship sync is happened to userA

Scenario2: Position type enabled, manage data < position type (This position type is position2's ) < SP/RP < Synchronize position matrix relationships to job relationships of incumbents < never

Result: Transfer user B from position2 to another position, the job relationship sync is NOT happened to userA

NOTE：The results as above are happening when the “multiple incumbents allowed” of position2 and position3 is set NO.
